Falls, Manoa

Distance from Laie:37 Miles (59.57 km)
Avg. Time to do activity:   2 Hours

Manoa Falls hike starts with a trail at the end of Manoa road just north of Waikiki. The trail is distinct and well kept (they even lay gravel in the muddy places). The terrain and plant life is some of the most beautiful in all of Hawaii which includes forests of banyun trees and bamboo. The trail has a minor vertical climb and is hikeable by people of all ages.
Follow the map below to get to the H1 freeway or, if you're already in town, just head East on H1 until you get to Exit 23 - Punahou St. Take that exit (see image at bottom) and follow Punahou Northward. The road splits and becomes Manoa Rd (at the left) and East Manoa Rd (at the right). Stick to the left and follow Manoa Rd as it winds around the ridge and eventually ends at the parking lot to Manoa Falls Trail. Hide valuables or take them with you as the parking lot is designated as a high theft area. The signs will direct you to the trail head.
