Hike, Hauula Loop

There are two loop trails in Hauula that are easy to get to and quick to hike (1.5 hours at most). They are located on Homestead Road in Hauula, exactly 2.2 miles from PCC in Laie. If you're traveling Southbound (from Laie) turn right just after the green "Hauula" sign (just before the 7-Eleven station).
Continue straight down the road and pull off at the end where a yellow gate crosses the road (see image at right). Be sure not to park on or block the road. It's a short drive or bus ride from Laie. Sometimes my roommates and I would ride our bikes to the trail head then run or jog one of the loop trails. At the gate you will find a little box and sign-in sheet for hikers.
If you walk down the paved road you will find the Hauula Loop trail off to the right. A little further up the paved road you will find the Hauula Ridge trail (also a loop) on your left.
